So my feeding plan for my female adult (1 -2 years old rescue, so not entirely sure on the age) is:
6 - 10 crickets covered in calcium
water
calcium powder in a dish
waxworms 1 or twice a week as a treat
mealworms??

I just got mealworms today, how many should I feed her? I gave her 3 today, and she REALLY seemed to like them.
And, I'm supposed to put waxworms and mealworms in the fridge, right?

Mealworms are kind of the safe food. I let mine have as many as they want of mealies as long as the are not getting overweight. I usually feed mine super worms by hand and then leave meals in the tank. With yours still regenerating her tail make sure she always has lots of calcium.

Waxworms I put in the fridge. Meal worms you should be gut loading with carrots, sweet potatoes, celery for 24 hours before feeding them to your leos:)

Your plan does sound great and you can go with it!

I have never fed mine waxworms, so I wouldn't know what the storage methods are.

For the mealworms, you can put them in the fridge, however if you do, they won't eat and get gutloaded (feeding the food). They go into hibernation in the cooler temps in the fridge and therefore won't grow and eventually turn into those white "alien" looking things and then the darkling beetles.

Dang, I had a gutloading recipe here somewhere, I'll have to find that once again. It is a pretty good formula for getting a really great high quality gutload. You must remember that whatever your staple foods eat will get passed on to your sweetys. Wink

I'm looking into mealies myself, it's one of those situations where I can't transition into completely because I don't know if all my herps on crickets will eat mealies.

I want to, and your plan sounds perfect. Her tail will be good as new in no time at all.
