My gecko plan
So as I mentioned in my introduction post I plan on getting a leo. After a couple days of thinking and the prospect of a mini vacation I have decided to wait till march to get my first gecko. I have started saving up and after calculating I estimate I will be spending around $400.00 for all the supplies and an adittional 40-75 on a gecko! so I will save up for when I will buy my gecko. Perhaps by march I can spend more on a gecko and get one from a reputable breeder! With the possibility of a vacation in feb I did not want to get a leo sooner, as I would have noone to care for him/her while I would be away!! anyways I did have some questions, I have leftover linolium from getting my shop fitted and was wondering if that could be used as the substrate, I can buy tiles but thought I would check to see (it has no glue on it) also is there anywhere online that sells UTH I have looked around in local pet stores and none have them, they just have bulbs which I know are no use to leos. Oh and they don't have any probe thermometers, so any help would be great!! Thanks for listening to me ramble away :P
Re: My gecko plan
the linolium should work great as a substrate, yes the internet will sell probe thermometers and uht look on ebay that where I got most of my stuff for my leo

Check amazon.com, search for zoo med reptitherm and you'll find plenty of different sizes for them. You'll be buying direct from zoo med so the prices on amazon would be close to $10 cheaper than buying it local pet stores.
You can also find digital thermometers on amazon as well. I personally use a [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] myself, it's cheap and works very well. Buy both the temp gun + UTH you'll qualify for amazon's free shipping.

Re: My gecko plan
well done on making a plan
I made a plan before I got my gecko
and every week, I bought another thing for the tank.. e.g. a water dish.. and I made a big checklist and checked things off until I had everything
