Hi everyone, I have 4 leos now and am planning on breeding them this year. Just introduced a new male. Is there a website or someone with loads of knowledge willing to help me ascertain what morphs they are? I defo have an enigma girl, but the other 3 I'm not sure what they are. It would help when selling on if I can say what the parents are!

Thanks very much
Tanya

You can post pictures here, and we can accurately tell you what they are; but it's kind of a no-no to breed leo's you don't know the genetics of. :S

Go to photobucket.com and make an account, then retry uploading them there.

You can use the photo uploader provided by the forum. No need to make an account anywhere else.

In the quick reply box press this button: Morphs/breeding Picture_save

And that uploader doesn't have a limit, and it also has a resizing tool.

You should always quarantine new leos for at least 30 days before introducing them to youre current leos. They could have parasites and diseases you won't notice straight away that could affect your other leos plus it gives you a chance to learn the new leos habits such as how much he eats, whether his poops are normal etc. there are tons if threads on the forum about responsible breeding. I'd use the search feature and read read read. Breeding should never be taken lightly and leos with unknown genetics shouldn't be bred as all that does us muddy the genetic waters and add a bunch of "mutt" leos on the open market which does the hobby no favors. Only genetically sounds leos obtained from breeders with known genetics should ever be bred if you want to be taken as a serious ethical breeder. Also does your enigma show any signs of enigma syndrome? Of out does you shouldn't breed that leo as you'll be passing along genetic defects that will affect quality of life. Think HARD please before going down this road.
