Question About His Tail
I apologize if this is the wrong spot to post this.
I got my little Misfit on July 22.
The first time I saw him, about a week and a half-two weeks before I got him, I was told that his tail was so small because his cage mates had bitten it off since he wasn't growing as fast and was just competition for food. I wasn't told how long ago that had happened.
Since I've had him, his tail has gotten a bit bigger. I'm guessing the damage wasn't too bad when he was attacked, since there was no broken skin and appeared to be healed over nicely. But I'm curious. Does his tail look okay? He's six months old, a little on the smaller side (I'm beginning to think "he" is a "she", but I have yet to even hold him, or he may just be a slow grower), and loves to eat.
I know their tails store energy, and when they're done maturing they get bigger because they use all of the energy stored to grow. I'm worried that his tail isn't growing back at the right pace. This is my first gecko, and maybe I'm just being a paranoid momma, but I just want to make sure my baby is healthy and growing just fine.
Here's a picture of him. If another one is needed to see his tail better, please let me know:

Re: Question About His Tail
Looks like its gonna grow back absolutely fine. Its passed the healing stage, and now it only needs to do the growing. So as long as he keeps eating it should just take a few months to reach a good size.
