Adding "go to first unread" option to threads

You're prob thinking all I do is nag buuuut, is there any way of adding a "go to first unread" option to individual threads? I hate having to click on the thread, then scroll allll the way thru all the other posts before getting to a new one. IT gives me a headache. Having a go to bottom option really doesn't fix that either as you're stuck doing the same thing but likely over shooting where you need to be so you end up scrolling back upwards. It gets frustrating.

yup there is already one, its small button, it looks like a small bit of paper next to the most recent posters name. In the right hand column, where it says last post by username.
Go to the homescreen and you'll see it, its also in each forum, for each thread.
Its orange when new posts, and grey when no new posts.

Its been there since the start lol, let me know if you want it more obvious.

I know what you mean I hate scrolling through comments I've already read.. and looking through pages for the new posts We need to introduce this 'go to unread' option

I'll see what i can do, until then we're gonna have to make do with the 'Last post' button.

Just as a quick note on this subject.
When you click the 'go to last post' button i mentioned and you have to scroll up, eac h post has a little bit where it says ' by gothicgurrrl Today at 20:56' and the little icon left of this will be ornage when you haven't seen it yet, and grey if you have.
I understand this doesn't fix the problem, but it makes the scrolling up and looking for the last one you read a lot easier.

Is it not possible just to choose an option to see the posts in reverse order - then the first one you see is the latest post?

What Kel means is though Jill, even if the posts were reversed so the first one was latest post, i might not necessarily be the latest unread one. E.g. there may have been ten posts since she last looked at the thread, and so would have to ggo to the tength post before being at the last unread one.

It makes sense but on a long post it might be easier than starting right at the beginning?

but if you start at the beginning and pick up with the last thread you read you can follow the story a lot better. Who like jumping to the end with out reading everything in between? It's like a bookmark. I did see the orange paper looking thing you were talking about and it would need to be a little bigger if that was the only option.

If i can't get it sorted, i will make the orange thing bigger and say unread or something.

With me though, the button that i first mentioned in the picture. That DOES take me to the last unread post rather than the actual last.
I mean obviously it takes me to the end when there has only been one new post since, but ive notcied, that if there has been like 3 new posts then it doesn't got directly to the end. it goes a bit up from the last post. to the third last obviously.
Give it a test sometime when there is a thread that has a lot of posts in since your last visit.
