Adding a "friends and ignore"option Empty Adding a "friends and ignore"option

Post by Kermit Sun May 15, 2011 5:02 pm

I think with the recent events and everyone having different opinions I think adding an ignore button so that if a member doesn't like another they can add them to their ignore list then they don't hsve to see any of that persons posts. That way no one has to read anything that may be offensive to them.

will require the use of advanced profile's changin the profiles back to the old way with the tabs. Will think about it, and hopefully some others will give their opinion on this matter.

My opinion is, take it or leave it is, this should be a friendly enough and "g" rated enough forum that if someone if feeling the need to block someone because they find them offensive then maybe we aren't doing a good enough job with keeping the offensive people in line.

Not true. No matter how well we try to keep people in check some personalities just don't mesh. So what are we to do then? Start banning people left an right just because they're difficult to tolerate. Members should have the choice to block seeing stuff other members post if they choose. Most forums I've been on include this option and ive used it on several people I didn't like or get along with... Maggie comes to mind aye jordan? Sometimes there's a person that no matter what they post it pisses someone off to the point of that person always responding with something snarky or a personal attack. Having an ignore option has nothing to do with moderating.

You'll be pleased to know Kel, that this has been added.

You can add people to your friends list by clicking their username to view their profile. Same with adding them to your 'foes' list.

You can view your friends and foe's in your User CP, link in the navbar to that.
