Hi all, I am thinking of getting an African fat tailed gecko next year aswell as a couple more leo's Very Happy. Iv'e done a lot of research on them but im a tad confused atm ive seen lots of care sheets saying to use coco fibre ect as a substrate to help humidity but others have said about paper towels/a non particle substrate to eliminate the risk of impaction, and Im favouring slate tiles Smile would slate tiles be ok for African fat tailed gecko Smile

Yep slate would work great! I read those same care sheets and ended up setting a large enclosure with peat moss and cocohusk but fed in a seperate bin. I soon switched it out for paper towel as they much prefered the hunting eliment when fed in the enclosure. Be sure to provide a good humid box and that should be fine. I have 6 AFT's now and they all love there humid box!
