African fat tailed gecko substrate.
Hi all, I am thinking of getting an African fat tailed gecko next year aswell as a couple more leo's . Iv'e done a lot of research on them but im a tad confused atm ive seen lots of care sheets saying to use coco fibre ect as a substrate to help humidity but others have said about paper towels/a non particle substrate to eliminate the risk of impaction, and Im favouring slate tiles would slate tiles be ok for African fat tailed gecko

Yep slate would work great! I read those same care sheets and ended up setting a large enclosure with peat moss and cocohusk but fed in a seperate bin. I soon switched it out for paper towel as they much prefered the hunting eliment when fed in the enclosure. Be sure to provide a good humid box and that should be fine. I have 6 AFT's now and they all love there humid box!
