Rare blue morph?
I just saw a video on youtube that had picture of a hatchling with a "rare blue morph". It looked like a disease to me. Is there a such thing as a blue morph?

Re: Rare blue morph?
NO People are always trying to come up with the new Morph and this one is bogus for sure. I know I have been pulled in before by the "new morphs". I am not sure about his one but it doesn't look healthy to me TBH.
Re: Rare blue morph?
There have been pix and stories of blue babies for quite a while... none of them live much past 2-3 months old and the color is usually just the tail and belly area so not really a "morph" moreso a juvie defect imo.

Re: Rare blue morph?
I felt sick looking at the pictures. It couldn't have been a morph. It had to be a disease or a really bad genetic defect or something. It looked like bruising.

Re: Rare blue morph?
that blue hue was found to be an enzyme caused by certain feeders that Tremper was using. not genetic. only a couple of those babies actually survived and there is not a hint of blue on any of them.
Re: Rare blue morph?
awww, that is so sad! I'm glad it wasn't genetic though.

Re: Rare blue morph?
Yeah, I was gonna say what Kel said, it's just been a blue stomach that I feel like is a deformity leading to an early stressed death.
Re: Rare blue morph?
Depending what the picture looks like. But yes there is a Rare blue morph out there. Ron Tremper is currently working on it, to make it perfect before letting it out on the market. The legs and belly of the leo appear to be a blue to green colour. But when they reach 6 month at the moment they tend to lose that blue/green and look like a normal leo gecko.
Re: Rare blue morph?
No it is not true. The rare blue morph looks similar to that but only in early stages.

Re: Rare blue morph?
But Jimmyd10 - All the pictures in the video that are showed are young babies so it would be in "Early Stages"

Re: Rare blue morph?
There has been no updates this season at all. The last one hatched was in 2009. This would lead me to believe he has perhaps abandoned the project.

Notice this further up.
I also heard that he abandoned it to be honest. He got a lot of the 'unethical!' emails, i heard from seomwehere too.
Re: Rare blue morph?
I thought it was still going, but yep turns out he ditched it due to it not being genetic and other reasons but still the pictures/video in question are from that website so were considered a morph rather than a disease or not being real at all
