New owner. couple of questions(:
I have a 5 year old adult gecko i obtained for a friend. and this is him(: as this is my first gecko, i have some questions:
1) What morph is he?
2) i feed him about 4-5 crickets every other day. today I fed him 3 waxworms and 3 crickets to fatten him up. is that enough? how much do you feed your gecko?
3) Since i feed him every other day, should i dust the crickets with calcium every time I feed him? I have flunkers high calcium gel and high calcium cricket diet so is it still necessary to dust them with extra calcium?
4)I still don't know what to name him! >.< any suggestions?(:

Re: New owner. couple of questions(:
1. That would be a normal! Still very cool looking!
2. Go for 2 wax worms max a week, he'll get addicted and refuse the crickets.
3. Yes, with feeding every other day it's still a pretty good idea to still dust. Even with guttloading, it can't always be enough. I also recommend a soda bottle cap full of calcium in the tank at all times, too.
4. Names, for me, pick themselves! Just wait and something will come.

Re: New owner. couple of questions(:
im a total noob but i dust my prey once a week with multivitamin and keep water bottle cap of calcium plus d3 in at all times. I always gut load the prey i use crickets im trying to get away from them, hisser roaches im trying to start a colony, and meal worms i have a successful colony im proud of!
are you sure you have a boy? when i got my first leo they told me it was a boy but it turns out i have a girl.
I agree with Kodieh your pets personality will pick its own name.

Re: New owner. couple of questions(:
With Adults you do not need to dust as often! I dust mine 2-3 times a week! I recommended using veggies and cereals to gut load your crickets rather than the premade diet.... I found them to be pretty naff as the crickets didnt eat them!
4-5 crickets sound fine to me, I let my geckos eat as much as they want and then take the remaining crickets out Have you tried Morioworms (aka giant mealworms?) they go down a treat!
This is a Normal morph from the looks of things very pretty boy!
What kind of calcium dust do you use? (brand) as we have previously have posts of MBD from using just nutrobol!
as for names.... Cleo, Cookie?
