Here is Toothless

And this is Phoenix (Nix for short)

Toothless wouldn't "sit still" for me to get a picture, but Nix was perfectly fine. I tried judging myself, and I think female-- but Nix could be too young to tell yet?

He just started developing that yellow/orange at the base of his tail. It really threw me for a loop.

Nix is a girl for sure, and toothless looks like a boy.

In terms of morphs, Nix looks to be a normal. The ornage on the tail is nothing to worry about.

Toothless, im stuck on. its either a Murphy Patternless or a Blizzard, and there are ways to tell but this guy is just baffling lol.
If i HAD to say one i would say Blizzard, and i have my reasons why it seems more blizzard to me than Patternless.

But yet, im going with Blizzard. If you boost his temps up on the hot side we'll be able to know for sure. Because gecko brighten in hotter temps.
If you brighten up a Patternless it gets yellow-er, if you brighten up a blizzard it wil either stay or get whiter.

Well, I keep my warm side at roughly 31-32C and recently its been 35C outside. Should I go even warmer or?

I mean, I love Toothless as black/purple as he is. But a clean white Blizzard would be a cool match if I've got a male/female set.

I don't imagine it would be a clean white like a diablo banco... it would likely be a pale muted white with high yellow accents on the back bumps.

I'm sure he will thumbs up 2 I just didn't want you getting your hopes up that by keeping him a little warmer that you'd have a white leo.

I thought Nix might be more than just a normal cause of the blocks on her back and tail. I guess I just over generalized the leopard "normal" haha.

Not all DB's are a clean white, one of the downsides of the blizzard gene is how much it varies in shades. Even with DB's.

Yes, even from day to day, honestly some day my blizzard almost is yellow, then she goes back to white and so forth.

you'll find blizzards which contain albino, so a blazing blizzard or DB or something 90% of the time will have the yellow tinged back.

I'm actually quite taken with Blizzards myself, BEL's in ball pythons too.

The black and whites coming out now are actually very appealing too. I wouldn't mind a panda pied ball python. Very Happy

I have seen some of the crazy pied snakes you can get though.
Still waiting for a pied leo.
