The start of my meal worm breeding.
I decided I was going to give it a go and try to breed meal worms. Here is the start,
There is approximately 30 meal worms in the container. I plan on just letting these guys just hang out and do there thing. Once they turn into pupae I will transfer them into another container (same as first container) and let them turn into beetles. After couple of weeks I will remove the beetles and wait for my meal worms. As this is all happening I will have the first container repeating the first step.
What does every one thing?

Looks good! It may take a few weeks for them to pupate! I'm still waiting for mine to pupate lol.

Yea thats what I am thinking but no worries. The last time I purchased meal worms I got 500 on top of the hundred I started with lol.
So by the time I am running low I should or hope to have plenty of my own meal worms ready to go.

hey dont be surprised if the pupate faster....I started my mealworm colony like days ago and i already have 3 of the alien pod things lol.....i was using wheat and oats too at first but it was just really hard to see everything so i switchd to cornmeal its like 100 % better and the worms love it they literally shed in it every like 5 hours i have a million white worms crawling around in there lol!
