multiple geckos in a 40 breeder
I was given a 40 gallon breeder and i'm just curious how many is too many to put in there. I was hoping to put 3 females around the same size in there and keep my smallest on her own, but I need to be sure they would be okay.
I'm making a custom BG with caves etc for them to crawl around in and i have plenty of hides for them so they won't be in competition for space. I've read conflicting articles/post about it and i just wanted some more opinions.
any help is appreciated

Re: multiple geckos in a 40 breeder
You can easily house 3 females in the same 40 gallon. But while space isn't an issue for you, understand that some geckos just don't get along. You may find a feisty female that don't want to be around other females. So extreme care & caution must be taken whenever you put multiple geckos in the same living space. You'll have to observe them, look for any signs of aggression, look for injuries. And especially watch them during feed time.
You do want to make sure there are plenty of hides so they can be separated and be on their own when they want to.

I personally keep all my geckos in seprate Rubs/Setups
this way there is no chance of fighting, you keep keep a better tract of who is eating and how many and what. And if there is any health issues you can spot them quicker and hopefully stop it spreading x

You could also divide the tank, with plexiglass. That way you'd have three separate "bays" in which to keep your leos, while saving space with the 40 gallon breeder tank.

I feel like that as along as you monitor them, and make sure one isn't being the dominant female that they'll all be fine.

One is a little bit larger (maybe an inch tops), but she's been living with a smaller gecko for 4 months and they both eat fine... I'm just going to try it and see what happens. If it doesn't work out, i have individual tanks for each of them. I just figured it'd be nice to keep all my girls together.
