Re: I came home to find this :D
haha, I have found them sleeping on their eggs and things like that. I find that usually the ones that they don't put in the moist hide and duds BUT when they are new to laying they tend to just drop them anywhere. I always incubate everything though because you never know what will happen. In another week or so you candle them Becca to see if they are fertile. I have a sticky about candling and what to look for in here somewhere;)
Re: I came home to find this :D
congrats on the eggs! Candling is always exciting!

Re: I came home to find this :D
Jordan, I know you are away but when you get a chance, pls would you let us know what the offspring would be of Becca's leo pairing? I am thinking both normals with varying colours of yellow and dark spotting, maybe less spots cause dad is a high yellow, and hopefully some orange on the tails. Would these babies still be het albino cause mom was?

Pretty good there Jenni.
They would all be normals, and you are correct, they would possibly have varyin amount of spots, but nothing majorly different. Maybe slight bits of ornage on their tails but nothing major either.
Because the mother was Het Albino, all the offspring have to be labelled 50% PH Albino.
PH means, poss het. which means possibly heterozygous lol...
This is because the mother passes on this gene, but only to 50% of the offspring, since there is no way of telling when a gecko is HET for albino... then they are all considered to have a 50% chance of being het albino.
Hope that makes sense

It does make sense and hopefully that means that I am starting to get the idea about genetics. Thanks for the great explanation!

Re: I came home to find this :D
just to add to what Jordan said, when dealing with possible hets, the only way to determine the genetics is to test breed. if you pair one of those offspring with an albino, and produce albino babies, then it's no longer possible het, but 100% het.
