i would like to know the morph of my leopard gecko (if it is one) but i was told not to take pictures until it is comfortable or soemthing. so is there anyway or any site which i can look at the morph and be able to compare their picutes with my gecko to try and figure out the morph myself? thank you,

http://www.leopardgeckowiki.com/index.php?title=Main_Page

This is the link that I use quite a bit and there is also the morphguide.com to the right of the screen that is another good one. The wiki one has some really good pictures and has a listing of any morph possible.

Enjoy your search thumbs up

I found this site to be very user friendly and it really gives the average person a good understanding of morphology and the basic "morph terms".

http://www.paulsagereptiles.com/LeopardGenetics.htm

Leopard gecko wiki isn't bad but the thing I'm uncomfortable with is any average Joe can post something as truth and it isn't. It's mostly opinion with some facts. What I like about the site I posted is it has nice pictures to go along with the morph descriptions and it's easy to read.

It really is an awesome site. It may not have some of the newest morphs like Bees or bloods or what have you but the average owner usually won't be finding those in their local pet shop.

Yeah, for sure. I could always use some brushing up on my morphs. It is not my strongest when it comes to leos.

Oh Geeze me either... I am THEE worst at most morphology. I think the only ones I can peg are super snows, Diablos, mack snows, some sunglows and bloods are pretty obvious.

I can usually narrow it down to a couple different possibilites...it's the little tiny nuances that catch me.

Me too... but don't ask me to id a hatchling or really young leo... unless it's obvious I'd be clueless. I haev a hard enough time figuring the colors on my baby rabbits when they're born but leos totally evade me.

LOL, I understand, you get so annoyed at first but later on when you look back on it...well, it's kind of funny sometimes depending on how it happened. I have over 30 geckos and the one that bit me still makes me a little nervous and I am extra careful with him....I just have visions of the little bugger hanging off my thumb.....
