leo or fat tail? need input please.
ok so guys today my husband took me to the local pet store and we got to see the cute little baby leos but they aslo showed us the fat tailed geckos. now i love how leos look, especially their wild eyes, but as we looked at them and held them we noticed how much calmer the fat tail is, i know a lot of people online say that fat tails are a lot calmer and enjoy being held, but leos are more jumpy and want to get out of you hands more. is this true? how do your leos act? are they tame and calm in your hands or do they try and get out of your hands? and have any of you had fat tails? and if so which would you prefer?

Yeah i own both leo's and fat tails.
I think fat tails are NATURALLY tamer, but there are plenty of leo's that are just as tame. As hatchlings leo's can be very jumpy and skittish, but so can AFT's.
As adults though AFT's are sleepy little things that stay reasonably still when in your hand, however when holding a leo in your hand, they aren't jumpy or skittish, but they enjoy exploring and they will often have a slow walk around your hand and up your arm.

Yes, I got fat tails for my son so that he can handle them comfortably and not have a squirmy little thing. They are all fairly easier to handle although leo is a little harder.

Leo vs fat taills, thats a hard one! I keep both species and they both have different qualities. Like Jordan has already said, fat tails can naturally be calmer but not all leos are skittish, its all about finding the right one. I love both species equally, but fat tails deffo have something endearing about them. You won't make a wrong decision whatever your choice!
