my gecko cyclone likes to lick his moist hide for water instead of using his water bowl . anybody else have geckos that do this.

yeahh loads of leopard gecko do this because they would naturally do this in the wild. Some herps like chameleons will never drink from the water bowls, you have to spray all their tank so they can drink. He will drink from his water bowl.. but you just won't see it

Agreed with Sarah, some do not use their water dishes. My pictus geckos also just lick it off their enclosures when it is misted.
