New Addition
Hi Everyone I'd like you all to meet mine and Gary's lastest rehome case, He's a young male Iguana who has been called Iggy Pop. Unfortunately we dont know much about him other than he was brought into our vets by the RSPCA as a stray that had been found wondering around in Weymouth and after a week of waiting to see if his owner would come foreward our vet asked if we would like to take him on so here he is

Re: New Addition

Re: New Addition
I like Iguanas, but I wouldn't personally keep one. I get enough of the Oklahoma State Iguana Elvis Iguanidae. Here's Elvis's FB page, lol.

Re: New Addition
he is about 18inches from nose to tail tip and his temperament is ok needs a bit of work as tail whips and opens mouth but once you've picked him up he seems to be fine and happy to sit on your hand and he seems to like me more than gary and will put more pics on as soon as i take some

Re: New Addition
awwww he's actually tiny compared to what size I thought he'd be. Still, I bet he's not easy to handle when he's in a bad mood. He's a very lovely colour though.. I love green animals
Re: New Addition
he's currently living in a 4ft x 15inch x 16inch viv as he's still small but i've been told they grow fast so guess its a good job we have a spare viv thats bigger than that one he's in at the moment his moods aren't too much trouble as he's small and his tail whips dont hurt but wont start handling him till later in the week as he only arrived friday evening and yes he is a lovely green colour alot brighter than i thought he'd be

Re: New Addition
We had the same thing down at my local reptile shop... The RSPCA bought in a Iguana (fully grown one!) in because it was found wondering around someone's garden in Woking!!! Its temperament was lovely and loved going for walks but the owners never came forward :*(

Re: New Addition
well for the first time yesterday i handled the little guy and the only problem is getting him out once he's out he is lovely and just wants to explore and he even takes himself back to the viv
Today i'll find out if we deffinately get to keep him as the vet said there was 10days for the owner to come forward so fingers crossed as we haven't herd anything then know one has come foreward for him

Re: New Addition
Good story actually... i work on the produce section at work... so i reduce all the greens i buy to 9p before buying them... i'm not supposed to obviously, but i get away with it.
Re: New Addition
LOL Jordan!
He looks beautiful! Look absolutely stunning. Poor guy, being left to roam the streets alone. I'm glad he now has a great home with you guys! Enjoy him, he looks like fun!
