This forums own youtube video

I am really drawn to this site and would like to contribute something to it, so more people like me who love leopard geckos and other animals in general, can join.

I would like to put together a video to get people to join.

I have a few pictures of my leos and some videos i may dig up, however if some of you would like to contribue to this, I would love to have gecko videos, eating, stalking, mating, or anything at all.

I think this would bring a few people here that may not know of this forums existence.

What do you all think?

I've made videos before for my own forum. A few members here love the idea and if we make a topic where members can post their leos pictures and or videos, I'll put it all together and create a video to put on my page and others can put it on their pages if they have a youtube account.

Its a shot in the dark, but it may work, and if it doesn't bring a lot of people at first, as long as it gets the word out there that this place exsists, than that works for me.

Jordan has always pushed us to promote the forum in any way we can imagine as long as it shows the forum in a positive productive light so you really don't need his permission to post a video on youtube. He has already asked us to promote the site by contacting other herp related sites, posting about it on craigs list and spreading the word by mouth at pet shops and the like so go ahead and do your video. I'm sure he'll love it.

Just on a side note for geckogal... maybe if your passion and draw to the forum is so deep maybe you'd like to apply for some of the new positions opening up. There's threads stating that we're looking for forum staff... maybe something worth considering.

Jolene (or geckogal) could you start a new thread plz for the youtube submissions so they're all in 1 place with out all the chit chat getting in between.

Ok, ladies and gents, for posting your pics there is a sticky thread under leopard gecko, general discussion. This thread we will keep open so that people can chat about the pictures without gumming up the pictures so Geckogal can easily see what is being posted:) Let's see those awesome pictures!!

Okay so yes thats a good idea to have an amount of pictures and videos each member can use for the video, I need to figure out a music to use and then the length of it normally determines how much ill need for the video.

I was also thinking of Text to use. What would we like to mention about the site?

Should we leave this up to the staff, i.e. admin, mods, supervisors, ect?

Lets take a look at this and make it great!

you could mention the monthly membership appreciation lottery or the merchandise store or the photo contests or show some of the tanks for proper housing stuff... whole bunches of stuff
