Video Tutorials

Hey everyone!!

I have a suggestion, and wanted to know what you all think of it??

All of you that are youtube users will have seen all the video tutorials out there that show you how to set up reptile vivs or how to remove shed skin.. well, what about making some for the LGF??

Video tutorials are a great way of showing people how to do stuff and many people prefer watching something being done, rather than reading about it. I think that care videos will be a great addition to the forum.

If you all like the idea or want to get involved in making some videos for LGF? Please let us know Oh, and all video makers will recieve some LGF Points! woo!

The Care Videos / Video Tutorials will be added into a sub-section, that will be added to the Caresheet section of the forum Tutorials can be on any topic of animal husbandry, and based on any pet.. although leopard gecko videos will be very helpful for new members and people interested in owning them.

There is an option to post a video embedding code onto a post, and this will add the video, instead of linking members to youtube Paste the code from youtube into the 'insert a video' option ( little black & green film symbol )

I think that is a great idea..I would work on some too:)

I, too, would make something. But I don't exactly have a video shooting camera; so I could do audio to picture slide shows of what I do!

I think it is an awesome idea if only I had a good camera... Might be able to do it via webcam tho

i am happy to stick a 'Video Tutorials' subsection under caresheets if people want.
If there are enough people willing to make video's i think it will be great!

How many people are willing to make video's of themselves?

I think its a fantastic idea but I will leave the video making to the experts. Gosh, I am still learning how to post a picture never mind a video!

I've already got a couple rabbit videos you could feel free to post in there sarah to get things started I know it's not leo related ut it's a start... I think it's a great idea. I think almost anyone with a smartphone or a phone with video MMS service can post a video to youtube. Smartphones all you have to do is use the built in hotlink to youtbe or download their free app but you will need a wifi source (I got to mcdonalds or walk around the block until I find a signal ), for video MMS users you can simply email yourself the video, download it to your computer as a (zip) file then upload it to youtube via your downloaded pc files.
