Banana's New Tank!!
Wooo!! Banana is finally in her new tank I love it! It looks nicer than I ever expected.. I thought that it would look empty because i didn't have alot of hides and such.. but it doesn't Looks fab! Soo.. here are some photos I took of the tank.. and the whole set-up process.. i thought it would help new owners with setting up a tank Well.. here goes :P
Okay, this is the tank.. it's about 22 gallons big.. and I use slate tile as my substrate. Tile is very natural for leopard geckos who in the wild live on hard, compacted earth and rocks The orange stuff you can see around the edges is sand.. I use it to fill in any gaps in the tile sooo my gecko doesn't trap her toes and legs. I spray it with some water to make sure it's hard and banana won't eat it:)
These next couple of photos are: the thermostat that controls the temperature of the tank. It is connected to the heat mat, which is under the right side. The second pic is of the probe thats connected to the thermometer. This is so I can see how hot the tanks hot side is.. the third pic is of the thermometer.
The next couple of photographs show the equipment needed in a basic leopard gecko set-up.
Piece of cork bark, a piece of drift wood and a half log hide
2 exoterra hides.. one small, one large
A exoterra medium water dish
A fake exoterra plant
A plastic tubberware container.. with a hole cut out for the gecko to enter. This is the moist hide.
A bottlecap used as a calcium dish. It contains exoterra calcium powder.
This is the disinfectant that I used to clean out banana's tank and equipment. I spray it on and wipe it.. and then I wash the stuff in hot water.
This is a plastic lid that I used as banana's litter tray. I fill it with sand.
This is wet tissue in the moist hide.. I usually use sphagnum moss but I've ran out.
All you need now is a gecko for your tank
This is banana.. While im cleaning, I keep her in a box with a hot water bottle in..
The next photos are of the items placed in banana's new tank
Okay.. now for the photos of the finish.. full view of the tank
Banana is about to be placed in her new place...
Looking at her new tank
Awww she's smiling.. she's happy with her new tank ^ ^
Thanks for reading everyone!
&& I hope this helps new owners with setting up their tanks

Yeah I also need to.. I need abit more cork bark for her to hide under I think. I also need to get loads more stuff ready for when I get my new gecko in a couple of months.

Re: Banana's New Tank!!
Thankyouu everyone!!
I still want to add things.. but i don't have alot of room. I'm going to build like a shelf on legs because i cant drill into the glass. I'm going to put it above the moist hide area.. and make a ramp.. and put another hide up there eventually.
