Re: Not eating or constipation?
Females who have begn laying eggs without breeding will likely not lay many clutches, usually only one.
Do you know if she had been bred with any previous owners, she may have retained some sperm from previous mates?
Also, I noticed you mentioned a 'heat rock' which I recommend you reading into the dangers and potential dangers of those things.
I hope your female returns to normal after getting the eggs out.

Hi, she hasn't been breed from on purpose according from the shop I got her from. She was kept in a tank with about 12 other different leopard Gecko's. As fr as the heat rock is concerned, I have bought a get pad to go under the substrate and also waiting for the thermo controller for it to arrive. The heat rock is thermo controlled to maintain 88. I'll be changing it anyway, I don't want anything bad to happen. Thanks, she eat some waxworks tonight for the first time since I got her, so looking up )

Re: Not eating or constipation?
Agreed with Jordan. My females that have not been bred usually lay one clutch at the beginning of the what would be breeding season and that is all I get from them. Also if she was kept in a tank with about 12 other leopard geckos I would think it is a good possibility that she has been bred. Maybe not on purpose but I would almost have no doubt that there was a male in that mixture.

Just an update. She still isn't pooping, yet she has eaten about 4 waxworms Tuesday, 8 crickets on Wednesday. The floor temp is 90.2. She loves the moist hide I done for her. She hasn't been out of ur since last night. Just a lil worried about the lack of poop considering what she's eaten.

Re: Not eating or constipation?
If she's producing eggs then she's likely using the majority of what she's eating so theres going to be little waste esp if she's eating soft bugs like waxies. 4 in a feeding without anything else like supers or mealies is setting yourself up for problems. Remember the addiction factor with waxies. Since she was housed with many other leos she could be bred, guess we'll find out in about 2 weeks if she lays another clutch. Also I'd boost your temps up to about 94-96* to make sure you have optimum digestion going on.
Re: Not eating or constipation?
Hi. Thanks for the advice Kermit. Have up the temp on the thermostat, so hopefully that will be that sorted. As for the mealies, she never seemed to eat them. I'll give them another go though. I'll let you know how it goes

Re: Not eating or constipation?
I suspect mealies will be unappealing beecause of their puny size and lack of movement. Id seriously try supers or small/med. crickets with the jumper legs removed before mealies.
Re: Not eating or constipation?
I have crickets. She loved them. There 4th stage crickets. She was darting about trying to catch them. She got them all though, not first time everytime, but very good considering it was the first time she had them. And the jumper legs were still attached! I'm getting some super worms tomorrow when I go into town. One question though. Is it best to pinch the heads or cut them off before giving them to her?

Re: Not eating or constipation?
You don't want to cut the heads off as the bug won't move which is what triggers prey drive. You can pinch their heads to be cautious to make sure it doesn't bite your leo because that could put them off feeding for a bit. Just try not to crush it to the point of killing it and making it immobile.
