Got Houdini to take f/t. Empty Got Houdini to take f/t.

Post by Kodieh Thu Jan 19, 2012 6:16 am

So, yesterday was the second day in a row I made an offering of f/t to Houdini. He wasn't having any of me dangling it in front of him, so I put it I side his hide and left him alone for two hours. When I went to go put the mouse up, cause I was sure he'd ignored it, it was no where to be found! Houdini took his first f/t an hopefully not his last. Smile

Yeah those nips can make them a little apprehensive at times. Our loki is well into his winter fasting but we have 2 fat gerbils, that are only gonna get fatter, waiting when he's ready Smile I'm guessing you order them already frozen our do you do that yourself? We found that when loki got a little shy with live food that stunning them helpe but still provided the attraction of semi live food and the thrill of the hunt. I think letting our captive herps use at least done of their natural instincts provide a better quality of life but then again balls are opportunistic eaters. How he keeps eating the f/t for ya Smile picky lil boogers.

Yes, I buy them prefrozen from a local specialty shop. If he keeps this up, I'll be so happy!
