I bought a viv with a lid on it as I have a cat which is free to come in my room, even if you dont have a cat or something i would still recommend one Smile

You can use some window screen and tape in the mean time since the top is kind of funky shaped it might be your only option in the long run.you'll need to obviously untape the screen and retape it any time you need to get into it but its just the edges and your leos safety is imperative. I'm sure you can come up with a creative inexpensive way to fix a top on that viv.

Relatively speaking, if you don't have anything that will get into the tank and the sides are high enough, that with furniture placed, they cannot climb out; you do not need a lid. Albeit recommended, you can move them over without the lid. You could put a sheet if you're worried about it.

I dont think they will be able to climb out, Adam said it would need a lid to keep the heat in thats all. I'm gonna see if i can get any big sheets of cardboard from work and lay it across the top, that will be better than nothing at all. I can always get a little heat bulb in there if the temp drops too much.
