New tank and Update!
Pepper and Biffles have been doing very well together. <3 They still both eat great, and they sleep together every night. Today I decided it was time to buy a larger tank, to reduce any tension and give them more space to roam, because I KNOW a 10 gallon is far too small for 2 leo's. So I saved up my money for christmas and bought a 20 gallon long, plus a thermometer and hygrometer. Now the tank is all but complete! Might want to add a few hides here and there but it's spiffy for now. A 20 gallon long with a lock on lid, a UTH, 3 hides, a water and calcium dish, and the hygrometer and thermometer. So happy! They are both exploring and enjoying the space like crazy. ;D Here are a few pics of them and the tank. They are both at "That time of month" so they are going to shed. Pepper is going to shed any minute, I swear she would be shedding now if not for the new tank and her desperate need to explore. ;D Plus the house is kinda chilly, it's 69, so going into a cold moist hide probably isn't very appealing to her. Anyway, here are the pics!

Looking good, 20 gallon long will definitely do much better for these 2. Now you just need a couple more hides so they can be alone when they want to, then you'll be all set
Re: New tank and Update!
Looking good... great choice for that middle hide*.. Definitely get a few more hides though!
Also, for the middle hide, if you put something plastic beneath it so the wet paper towels won't make the rest of the dry paper towel substrate wet like in the photos. If you're worried about her not using the moist hide since it's cold, you could move it to the warm side too! My hide stays at a lovely 80-84ºF temperature on the hot side...but that's because there's a plastic tupperware container lid as the bottom of the hide.

Re: New tank and Update!
I have that 3-in-1 hide in all of my tanks too, great choice
I know some don't like to use a plastic container in their tanks, but gladware container is perfect for a moist hide. It'll also keep everything else dry.
Here's an example of one of my 20 gallon setup, housing 2 geckos. Just giving you some ideas, you can tug that plastic container away in a corner. They love that thing Oh yeah and if you have the 30x12x12 tank, you can buy 12x12 ceramic/slate tiles and they'll fit in there perfectly. It'll make it easier to clean, easy to keep dry, and perhaps help you touch up the looks a bit. A 12x12 tile cost around $2 so they are very cheap.

cool their new tank looks lovely bet they are very happy
I think you should change your thermometer though.. to a digital thermometer because you want to be able to read the temperature of the floor

Re: New tank and Update!
Thank you all so much! They are loving it. <3
Mardy - Yes! 20 gallon, so happy. ;D And I am definitely planning to get some more! Sadly I ran out of christmas funds, along with the tank and thermometer/hygrometer set I bought a new ipod touch case and a camera tripod. Have to save up for a few weeks! You're thank looks gorgeous and that is the exact tank I have. I love those hides! Easy to clean and it's got a water dish. So cool. I will look into the tile and see, but for now I'll keep with the paper towels.
Tsuhei - That is a great idea! I will definitely try that. Thank you!
Gothic girl - Ran out of money sadly! The digital one at petco was $25 and I was like "heck no!" LOL. So I just grabbed those 2. I like to think they are happy! Pepper was mad at me the other night because when I got her the new tank, she needed to shed so badly that she crunched when she walked. I gave her 2 hours to get her butt in the moist hide and shed, but she never did, so I had to give her a warm soak and peel it all off for her. The eyelids were hard! And she squeaked at me, I felt so bad. But now she's fine.
LindsayM16 - Thank you! I love them. And I will definitely look into that. Your gecko in your profile pic is stunning! And awww, I always wanted a chameleon but having divorced parents would make it hard to care for it properly.

Re: New tank and Update!
Go to Walmart for the thermometer. They have an indoor/outdoor digital thermometer that says the hot side themps, the cool side temps, and the humidity. It's only $12. That is what I use for my leos and my beardie.

But you really shouldn't be peeling their whole shed off like that, it can really damage their skin. Mine like to shed over night, so you should give her more time.

Re: New tank and Update!
She'd been ready to shed for about 2 days, and she was crunching when she moved, it was horrible. ;/ Everytime she moved she hated it, you could tell. I was just trying to help. But I won't do it again.
And thank you! I'll look into that.
