Introducing Fey Empty Introducing Fey

Post by kathstew Thu Dec 29, 2011 11:25 am

I did it again Embarassed
I got two giftcards for a local pet store, and this gal has been here for a while. She was on sale too. I felt really bad for her so I bought her (Plus she is so darn cute).
Looks to be a hypo tangerine carrot tail. I'm not sure she can be classified as a carrot tail though as she doesn't have a whole lot of carrot tail.
Anyway, I named her Fey, like fairies cause she jumps like she thinks she's flying, and she's a daredevil O_O
She is missing the end of her tail, and I don't think its going to grow back much more unfortunately, poor thing ): Apparently someone brought her into the store because they didn't want her anymore. With a little TLC from me though she will be right as rain. She seems pretty healthy though (quarantining though still OBVIOUSLY!!)

Wow, what a sweetie! Very Happy Poor baby, it's so great of you to get her out of that pet store. It kills me when they're in there for ages like that, not getting homes even if they have the sweetest or funniest personalities, just because they have a physical form issue. Missing some of the tail may make it less valuable money wise, but certainly not from the standpoint of a great pet!

Thank you everyone for welcoming Fey! She is starting to settle in. She ate a cricket last night, but refused any worms I gave her Rolling Eyes Usually my leos want the worms and refuse the crickets lol.

Jane - lol they do! D'aww thats so cute. They can be friends xD LOL
Jessica - I kinda breed xD I haven't yet, but I will be breeding my two snowglows Ritz and Mya (see my signature) sometime after the New Year. Mya has a cut right now so I'm waiting for that to heal. I'm also planning to breed Rosie to Ritz once Rosie is old enough.
geckoluver - Thanks! I completely agree! I normally don't buy from petstores as they take poor care of the leos, but she had been there for so long. In no way do I Fey a rescue as I know I just supported the pet store to treat more animals poorly ): But, I can make a difference in Fey's life. And I feel better knowing that it wasn't the pet store's fault she was in the condition she is, it was a previous owner's fault.

I don't really have a favourite, I feel like its choosing your favourite child xD
I do have to say though that Kringle, Rosie and Nina are the friendliest. The others are kinda shy but still like being held. Just Kringle, Rosie and Nina will come running to the front of the tank to be picked up.

Awww, that's adorable! And Biffles is my new favorite. <3 She literally walks right onto my hand when I put it in the tank, she loves being out and walking around and exploring. ;D <3 LOL. I still adore Pepper, but she's not a big fan of being held and she prefers just to be left alone. <3 But of course I love them both. Smile
