i want to put coffee and caramel into the same viv but the other day i put them both on the bed and caramel was just walking past coffe and coffe bit her on the side ... it didnt cut her and i dont think it hurt her i think it was just coffee saying get out of my way, will they be different in a inclosure together or do you guys think it is just not worth trying??

Absolutely not. If they are already having little nips like that, it is not likely to go well. This is a show of dominance already and putting them together is only asking for trouble.

Feisty female, you definitely don't want to put them together if you saw that. What you did is actually how people test to see if 2 geckos will get along. You put them next to each other, outside of their tanks, and see how they react. If you got a female that'll bite outside the tank, she'll be even worse inside the tank as she'll have even less space. Thus she would be more protective of her territory.

Its an odd thing though. As mrs looney requested that the gecko's were tried together before buying them. And they got on fine here, a few small incidents trying to squash into small spaces together but... nothing really.

Is there any current stressors, or change in there routine?

like jordan said they were put together before and there wasnt anything bad like that happen... at first when i put them on the bed they just walked away from each other and didnt seem bothered maybe it was coz i put them back next to each other that coffe got frustrated.... i really dont know... there isnt any change in routine.... i moved coffee into her new home last night thats is about it but this happened before i put coffe in her new viv.... im tempted to try it but i dont want anyone gettin hurt i may do it on my day's off this week as i can keep a close eye on them...x

well i just got my answer lol

i put caramel in with coffe and caramel went into the hot hide n then coffee went to go in there n caramel ran out shaking her tail like mad... then it calmed down for a few mins n then coffe went over to where caramel was again n just went for her.

can i keep them together the answer is: hell no lol

Thats really odd. I'm sorry to hear that Sarah.

But i suppose thats why it isn't recommended to house leo's together; theyre attitudes towards each other can change very quickly.

In a few weeks time you can try again and you may see a different result.

yeah i know odd isnt it, dont be sorry its ok... i still love them both.

i am getting a new viv the same as coffee's for caramel onn the 4th of november so she will soon be out her tub.

i just feel sorry for her being in that lil tub but she will be out soon Very Happy

dont think ill try again it look like it really stressed them both out even tho they ate after words piggys lol x
