very strange thing Empty very strange thing

i got a new thermometer for my new gecko comeing and i thought i would try it on elmo heatmatt to see if it read ok.... bit of a starange one the exo terra one i have got in elmo's viv is reading 34.4 and the lucky reptile new one i got is reading 32.5 but which one is right??? im so confsed right now help!!

Are they both digital thermometers with a probe?

Digital probe thermometers will not read the same temp's hardly ever. Even the same brands, because they will be in different spots everytime.

I agree with Mardy. Prob best to take an average reading of somewhere in between.

You'll always get a degree of deviation in such tools, especially with the slightly different positions. They're both fine, and you've no need to buy another Smile
