Adult shedding
Do adult leos still shed their skin? What I mean is, does a leo ever stop growing and shedding?

Re: Adult shedding
its a pretty interesting thing actually. The way there oatterns and bands change over time is through the shedding. Each shed, the new skin underneath is slightly different, changing each time.
So when they are adults, if you know your gecko well, you can actually spots these changes. You may see new spots slowly appearing or dissappearing, or moving.

wow that is very cool I'm going to make a mental note of this and see if i can spot changes in banana over the years
Re: Adult shedding
They will always shed their skin. If they are growing or gaining a lot of weight they will need to shed more often, if they have stopped growing and not gaining weight that quick they wont shed their skin as often. they are not like a insect they only molt so many times during their life.

Thanks for the replies. I kinda feel sorry for them cos I know that I wouldn't like to shed my skin once a month for the rest of my life. It must be such an uncomfortable feeling.

Re: Adult shedding
You never know, maybe the skin is taut and uncomfortable right before they shed; then it feels amazing when it's finally off.
Re: Adult shedding
Kinda like a lil leo ograsm aye kodie... but seriously... they get incredibly itchy and irritated before they shed... it is amazingly uncomfortable from my understanding of the process, but the better conditions we provide them the easier it is for them to go thru a shed.
