I agree, I think the breeder should have told you. I only wanted to bring it up because I was afraid if she started exhibiting symptoms you would freak (I would have freaked) if you didn't know what it was. Everyone here will help you with her though, but from everything I've heard they aren't that difficult. <3

I am glad you told me about it. I definitly would have flipped. She loves her moist hide so far. Ill take some pics tonight when she come out.

She's so pretty! How old is she?

She is gorgeous and it may never happen but it really never hurts to be prepared for things either. from that I have heard from many, their enigmas are always the sweetest temperments, just need an extra little help at times

Thank you guys. She is very sweet. She was hatched early august. So almost 2 months old. She was temperature sexed and the breeder was very specific with statistics on his outcome of the gender so I am hopeing she stays female.
I am not going to breed her like I had orgianlly planned with my friends male.

Here's some more pics of her from tonight. Her eyes are SERIOUSLY that bright. It's insane. I love the look of the red eyes on orange coloring. Sorry for some of the blurry pics, she's a fast little thing so I couldn't focus my camera properly.

Id suggest lots of research on the enigma syndrom. I'm a little disappointed the breeder didn't inform you more on it. She's a pretty one.

i am reasearching the syndrom but I cant find that much info on it when i type it into google. I can really only find whats on this forum.

It sounds like mostly all you really have to do, is hand feed her, because if the enigma syndrome comes out, she'll have trouble hunting.

As long as you keep her habitat proper with no lights or other stressors in her environment you should be ok. Usually most cases of enigma syndrom are exasorbated by stress so keeping stress to a minimum will be crucial. Also with her having red eyes you don't want to use additional lights anyway as the red eye'd leos seem to be exceptionally bothered by them, even the infra red ones.

I'm sure you'll do great and your leo will be fine... it just doesn't hurt to be informed since it is alays a possibility somewhere down the line. Keep up the good work

Yes, they are SUPER sensitive to light!!

I noticed it when i took the pic of her where you can see her eyes. She moved when i took it so i turned the flash off for the other pics
