Welcome, Frankie & Lizzie (: *PIC HEAVY*
So, i finally have the time to upload the photo's of Lizzie & Frankie for you all to see! they seem to be very happy together as i found them curled up in the same hide together this morning, but im still keeping a close eye on them due to the size differences
My first leo was Lizzie, she brought me joy throughout the 2 and a half years that she has been in the family! so here she is:
And Frankie is my new little leo who i believe is around 4 months old, she's super cute, can't wait for her to fatten up her tail and grow a bit! but she's very tame compared to Lizzie and she's only been with me for less than a week so here's Frankie:
And i may as well upload the photo of my viv in this post too, but it's only temporary until the funds allow me to build my new viv, which should be within 2 to 3 weeks
im open to any suggestions regarding the layout, additional furniture required, or just general help with the viv as it is currently housing both Lizzie & Frankie

awww what cuties... they both look fat and healthy to me. As far as the viv, absolutely ditch the red light it will stress your leos out. If you need to supplient some heating with a light the moonlight blue is a lot better choice. I know a lot of leos that won't step foot out of their hide with red lights, my boy being one of them. You'll also want to add another hide so theres 2 on both the cool side and the warm side as well as 2 food bowls so that there isno competition for prime spots which is where a lot fo yur conflicts will come in, competing for the best hide, the first shot at food etc, so by adding one of each for each leo you will hopefully avoid any bullying for resources. There is a thread called show off your set up that you might want to check out for some design ideas. http://www.leopardgeckoforum.com/t244-show-off-your-set-ups
Looks like you're off to a great start. Keep up the good work

wow they are little cuties! I love them They look alot like my leo
Re: Welcome, Frankie & Lizzie (: *PIC HEAVY*
Thank you, i'm glad you've said that as i've been worrying like mad about the viv, i feed them crickets atm, whilst leaving a few mealworms in the food dish to compensate for any bullying regarding the food, thus leaving food readily available whilst the other is sleeping.
On the left hand side of the tank, a reflection is blocking the view of the climbing wall, but Frankie loves to sleep on top of the wall, and Lizzie always sleeps in the moisture box. But i will get the other hide in right away!
And regarding the lighting, i will change the bulb tomorrow, i didnt realise it could cause stress to them additional heating is required as the heat mat tends to maintain the temp at around 75, so it just tops it up to around 90, but the lighting is on a thermostat
Thank you gothicgurrrl i'll be browsing through the photo's on this forum to catch a glimpse at all of your leo's too

It's okay about the red bulb.. i was told I needed one too when I first bought my leo . I wasted loads of money on silly things I didn't need. But yeah your viv looks great

Thank you
Yeah i've found that kitchen roll is much easier to clean but i'm hoping to move onto tiles in the new viv! i found some really nice natural stone tiles in B&Q but they looked really thick and i dont think they would let enough heat through from a UTH if i can find a pic of them i'll post it and see what you think
