You don't have a rodents or rabbits (small pets) section sooo I didn't know where this should go.

I wanted to post some photos of my bunnie wabbits :3 I own 4 rabbits.
- 1 male lionhead.. about 3 years old.. small .. grey coloured fur which looks beautiful Smile
- 2 female lionheads.. about 1 year old.. one is black and the another is a HUGE fluff ball and grey and white.. they are sisters Very Happy
- 1 male lionhead X rex (father my male lionhead, mother is a standard albino rex).. he looked like a lionhead as a baby, but he looks like a rex now. he's grey like his dad Very Happy

Rabbits aren't rodents... they're lagomorphs. Lagomorph - order Lagomorpha - are relative large gnawing animals; distinguished from rodents by having two pairs of upper incisors specialized for gnawing. http://www.britannica.com/EBchecked/topic/327815/lagomorph

it is an insult to call a bunny a rodent thumbs down

Your bunnies are very pretty Sarah. Your Jacob looks a lot like my Netherland boy Rebel

Maybe you should just lump them all together in a "small and furry" catagory maybe? that could encompass all small furry non dog/cat pets.

Great idea Kel. I shall rename rodents - small and furry. No point having both rodents and small and furry, since most rodents are small and furry lol.

Thank you Very Happy I know you've seen the pix on the other site with almost all my rabbits Smile Our first show in on the 19th of march... NEXT weekend EEEK... my 2 top contenders, Rebel there and Mr. Wonderful are both in HORRID moults... grrr... figures Sad Then I'm bringing a few for sale, and have a couple juniors to show but don't expect anything major from them. Then I have 1 chestnut male Mel, that is actually looking good, no moult, and ready to show his first time in senior class. Kinda works against us as he is a YOUNG senior (just 7mos old. Jr. class ends when your rabbit is 6 mos and older) and will be competing against older more developed buns Sad He'll do ok tho...

Good luck in the shows Smile

I wish there were rabbit shows near me Very Happy I would love to show my rabbit.. although they wouldn't be able to go in the pure breed shows because i'm not part of the british rabbit council. Maybe one day I'll show rabbits Very Happy
:O what a shame that they are in moult.. but i'm sure they will do well at the show regardless Very Happy

haha they are Smile
If i mate my lionheads, the babies could end up in loads of colours and coat types... black, grey, brown and white Very Happy or mixed.. black and white would be cute Very Happy

I love breeding rabbits Very Happy .. i love peeping into the hutch to see if there's any babies in there Very Happy I love how the females make their nests.. they pull out some of the fur from around their neck/chin and use it for the nest Very Happy and they spend ages preparing it lol

I think the most funin breeding is finding out which pairs work depending on their strengths and faults. There are a lot of different types of rabbits out there,. I think we're up to 46 different ones recognised by the American Rabbit Breeders Association http://www.arba.net/Breeds.htm

WIDE variety both in the states and across the pond. Theone that y'all have that I love is teh Continental Giant... largest rabbit in the world
