I was bored and thought i'd take some more photos of banana. she was in a nice mood today lol she is one of those geckos that doesn't want to sit still and be cuddled.. she is always trying to escape lol little adventurer =]

.. i was wondering? is my gecko a good size for a leo because she's put on loads of weight since I got her and I hope she isn't overweight. she has those calcium bubble under her arms i think.. unless their skin is supposed to be like baggy there?

she doesn't look over weight, do you know how much she weights?

i've only seen 1gecko with the fatty armpits and i took it to see my vet for a friend and he told me it needed to go on a diet after he'd removed a abcess by its eye. a few of my super giants have small ones but they dont look too chubby so i dont worry.

i don't know how much she weighs i've had no problems with her soo i haven't gone to the vets or anything.. can you weight them on normal scales used for baking? those plastic ones?

yep thats what i use to weight mine digital kitchen scales.

wish i could help with what they are but im not sure, i'll ask my vet tomorrow when i drop a royal python off for a opperation.

Yeah she looks a fine weight, she looks like there is plenty of fat storae on her but with still room for more.
Also don't worry about the bubble's. You are correct, they are calcium bubble's and that's where they store their excess calcium.
Cutting down on their supplementation, or even giving them no calcium for a couple of weeks will help reduce them.
Though since she is female and it is breeding season, then those bubble's are good, because a lot calcium is needed for producing eggs, even if they are infertile.
Its unlikely she will lay them, but she will produce them. And without enough calcium it could cause problems in her tummy. Though that's only a small possibility.

Personally i would cut off her calcium in take for a 2 weeks. so they stay the size they are.
They are good to havem but you don't want to over do them. if you get me. lol

I will stop her calcium for a week or so. haha, I never thought about that.. do geckos get moody when they are ovaluating and in breeding season?? they are calcium bubbles because they are like baggy skin with abit of air inside but i can touch them and they are not hard or anything
