Giant leopard gecko
How many grams would a leopard gecko have to be to be considered a "giant"?

Re: Giant leopard gecko
Males reach 80-110 grams and females 60-90 grams by one year of age
I took this from Ron Tremper's web site because I did not know either but of course he is very reliable:)
Do you think you have a giant?

Re: Giant leopard gecko
Hey, giant isn't determined by weight.
Giant is the name of a genetic trait. In order for a gecko to be a giant is must carry this genetic trait.
The giant gene makes gecko's grow larger and more quickly, so its being giant wihch defines the weight not the weight which defines being giant.

Re: Giant leopard gecko
If it is an albino gecko too, and a lot longer than normal then ther eis a chance its a genetic giant.
I say albino, because the giant gene has rarely been seperated from the tremper gene, and pure giants are rare, and pretty much only in america at the moment.

Re: Giant leopard gecko
I was thinking that too Jordan about the albino .
My 2genetic super giants and 1genetic giant are all from america and cost me almost £1500 for the 3 and they all came from a very good breeder over there

Re: Giant leopard gecko
One of the most notable giants was Godzilla, who at a little over 3 years old was nearly a foot long (11 and 5/8 inches) and a whopping 170 grams.
