Recent Changes Feedback
Hey Everyone
I thought it would be nice if we all started commenting on the recent changes that Jordan is always updating, because it must take him a while to type it all up and I think he'd appreciate some opinions, whether positive or negative. It would just be interesting to hear everyones opinions on newly added forum features.
Here is a quick link to the recent changes thread:
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
So.. Post up any opinions you have about new stuff that gets added to improve the forum.. like I said, it can be positive or negative answers.. which will help Jordan make any changes that are needed or add new stuff that people request about and such.
Thanks!

Re: Recent Changes Feedback
My feedback of the recent changed added 5/6/11...
I think that top posters widget is a nice addition to the forum I like it. I think that encourages members to get involved more to try to get at the top of the list :P
I also like the new ranks that have been added I also think it will encourage everyone to get involved with posting on the threads
I really really like the new 'gecko profile' =] it's cute
.. and It's cool that you can go onto members profiles and see a photo of their gecko :P But i'm just obsessed with photos .. I've already added my gecko profile

Re: Recent Changes Feedback
I agree with Sarah, I really enjoy looking at all the pictures and I think it will be a draw for new people because the fist thing I did when I was new was look at the pictures!
Re: Recent Changes Feedback
Great idea Sarah, thank you
Yes people, i do love getting any feedback, good or bad.
So keep it ocming please. Any feedback will help me get a better understanding of what you guys want out of the site, and what features you want to see here, or not here.
So the more feedback and suggestions you give, the better you'll be making the site for yourelf!

Re: Recent Changes Feedback
cmon guys, no feedback from any of you, haha. You must have something to say about recent changes. There is a link to the thread [with all the recent changes in] in the original post of this thread.
Re: Recent Changes Feedback
COMMENT NOW! hahaha im joking.. please comment pretty please :P
We really need to discuss what we like about the changes and what we think could be improved. You can share any ideas of what you would like to see on the forum.
It would be really helpful for the forum
Thanks everyone!

Re: Recent Changes Feedback
The new members feed opens the Recent Changes thread INSIDE the members feed.
Re: Recent Changes Feedback
The how many topics and posts there are on the main catigories is kinda annoying.
Other than that, everything looks pretty good.

Re: Recent Changes Feedback
I dont like the post counts under the thread section names.. its annoying. obvs I could cope with it, it's not a big deal i just don't think it looks good.

Re: Recent Changes Feedback
I am quite new to the forum and I am still getting used to everything at the moment, so everything is new lol not just the recent changes. I am gradually finding my way around the site though. Keep the good work up everybody :-) Originally put it in the wrong place sorry Jordan!! Told you I was new
Re: Recent Changes Feedback
Thanks Tracey, Jordan and I have been working on it most of the afternoon. I just offer advice and he does the hard stuff....lol. We really appreciate the feedback to know if people like what we have done. Thanks so much:D
Re: Recent Changes Feedback

Re: Recent Changes Feedback
Now now, there is no need to take drastic measures Brittany....lol. We are just checking this stuff out to see what people think so I appreciate the feedback Brittany. When Kodieh made that comment he meant the forum topics and all were all the way to the left and there was no sidebar on the left at all. But no worries, we love to hear any and all feedback.
Re: Recent Changes Feedback
I was playing though =P But the sidebar is a little annoying, just because I'm was already familaur with two side bars.
However, everything still looks good and I thank you for all the work you do with Jordan to keep this place looking good.

Re: Recent Changes Feedback
Thanks for all the feedback guys.
Here's my input:
Basically it was just to de-clutter, and go back to a more simpler style. And also, removing a sidebar allows more room for what the forum s actually for, and what is important; 'the content. The threads, and helpful advice, the library of great information. The sidebars shouldn't be too big of an important apart of the forum, pulling focus from the important list of thngs above.
When it was first changed some of you may have seen it (since i didnt put the forum offline or anything), we tampered around with the bar in the right, and different widths and size's, out of the simpler looks we tried, this one turned out the best.
I know its odd looking, and i know we're not used to it because its so different, heck it looks very odd to me still too, but im sure we will all get used to it.
And if this isn't the case, if in a month we are all still finding it odd, then of course we can go back
The best advice i can offer at the moment, is movng the post profile to the right hand side of posts. It looks really good there, and really suits the new layout.
If your not sure what i mean by this, you should read the recent changes from the 10/7/11 which is where i explain it.
