Dubia Roaches Question
So I just found out the local reptile store here carries Dubia roaches! Yay! Anyway I have the stuff for their enclosure and everything, but I just had a few questions.
How many roaches do you guys usually feed your adult leos at a time? And what size roaches do you feed them? (I've heard they can eat something as long as it's as big as or smaller than their head)
I know those are pretty general questions but I'm just curious I'll probably pick up a couple tomorrow to see my leo likes them. He's a hungry guy, and from what I've heard about roaches I'm sure he will like them

Re: Dubia Roaches Question
My adults eat about 1 dubia roach per day or every other day. Female breeders can take down 2 sometimes.
As for size, I've always ordered "medium" as large adult dubias are too large. The male adults have wings that won't get digested, female dubia adults are waaay too large. So if you get them, look for medium sized.
When in doubt always play safe and feed smaller as you can always feed 2 smaller roach as opposed to getting a large one where your gecko may have difficulties eating.

Re: Dubia Roaches Question
The general rule of thumb is they can eat anything that is no bigger around than the space between their eyes. Eating something as big as their head could choke them so be careful.
Re: Dubia Roaches Question
Thanks for the input I'll get some small ones to start him off with. I thought the thing about their food being as big as their head was definitely on the large side... now I know! Thanks!
