Undigested waste
I looked at Banana's (the gecko we previously talked about regurgitating) poop today. It had parts of crickets still in it. I was wondering if crickets are hard to digest and this is normal or if he may have a parasite and this is the reason. What are the causes of this?

Re: Undigested waste
It could be parasites. You might take the next poop to a vet to do a fecal an see why comes up.
Re: Undigested waste
Crickets do tend to have parts that geckos don't digest, like their wings, the female cricket egg laying tube (ovipositor), and sometimes parts of their legs like the hind legs if you don't pull them off prior to feeding.
So seeing cricket parts in gecko waste isn't abnormal. But if you want assurance, it usually only cost $25-$30 to get a fecal exam from your local vet. If you haven't had a fecal exam done before it won't hurt to get one just to make sure the gecko's clean.

Those are the parts it was, wings and ovipositors, but I will probably have an exam done since I'm not sure of his past. Thanks guys for the quick responses.
