Meet my new addition
Well, meet this little one. He/She was given to me by my boyfriend as a late christmas present. He got it from a family friend. It's not in the best condition but I am willing to give it some extra TLC! My boyfriend told me that the previous owners had kids and would throw the poor thing around. He/she is very sweet though but gets extremely nervous when you pick her up. I am not sure of the sex, age, and morph. They told my boyfriend that it's a male and is 7-8 years old. I see the V with definite pores but they are not indented in. Anybody wanna guess? I will try to get pictures later in the week of it's underside if it's needed, I dont want to bother it too much.
He/she is also a bit small to me for being 7-8 years old, but that could just be cus she's a bit skinny for my likeing. I believe it's a normal?? I also belive she is blind in her right eye. Her left eye looks normal but her right is completely black. It looks like shes had it for a while. Any tips on careing for this?
For the most part it was kept in the right type of tank except it had no UTH and they used repto carpet. It's feet are very bad, they have stuck shed from it's most previous shed and from basically all the other sheds aswell. I gave it a Sauna today and got some of the shed off. I'm going to be doing this periodically to help it. He/she is having a bit trouble walking on her feet, it looks very uncomfortable to her. I am going to keep him/her in my 10 gallon until it fully recovers and then move it to the 20 gallon.
Any advice is appreciated! Thanks guys! Also, these are phone pics. I am going to do an update on my other two leos so I will get many more pics of this one. Ill make sure to get some better pics of the eyes aswell.

Re: Meet my new addition
Congrats on the new leo!
Rescues are awesome, I find they are extremely grateful to you when you get them from a poor previous home.
I'm sure with some TLC this lil' guy will be right as rain!
Without a picture of the underside we won't be able to confirm or deny the gender.
If he is indeed blind in one eye, you'll just have to ensure he's getting fed and can get around his tank. This may mean handfeeding if he seems to have trouble handfeeding.
He does appear a bit small, but it could be depending on how often he was fed, and how well taken care of he was as he was growing.
Omg, he looks like he has little shed boots on his feet! Its sad but kinda cute. Poor guy.
I'm thinking he's a normal or high yellow.
Good luck with this guy/gal!

Re: Meet my new addition
awwww bless, looks so cute
hope you manage to get all the retained shed off this poor little one, maybe a idea just to get the eye checked by a vet as looks a bit puff/swollen so may have some retained shed/infection in there.
So glad she/he now has a loving home with you
Good luckin getting her/him back to full health xx

Re: Meet my new addition
Wow lots of tlc needed for that poor lil one. Not only does the eye look swollen on that side but so does that while sinus canal, plus the jaws out of alignment, could be a bad case of mouth rot brewing thats gone up the sinus canal and settled in the eye socket. The poor things lost a lot of toes on that back right foot, poor things a mess. I would absolutely take it in for a very check. I really don't think you have a choice at this point. Surprisingly it isn't underweight. Nice chubby tail imo. Let us know how things go good luck.

I gave it another sauna today. I got most of the shed off one of the paws that was really bad. Looks like it's got some dead digits too. I am going to make a seperate thread that will keep you all updated!
