Not sure about normal coloring
I bought a leopard gecko and she was sold as a normal, but as she's grown I've begun to notice some slight orange coloring in a few short stripes at the base of her tail. It doesn't seem to be enough to actually classify her as a carrot tail but I didn't know if normals usually have any amount of orange on the tail. Thanks in advance!

Normals can definitely have tangerine & carrot-tail influence. It all depends on the genetic background of the parents and the genes they are carrying.

Thanks! If I breed her, should I have a male carrot tail? Or would she produce any carrot tails?

carrot tail is a polygenic, or linebred trait...which simply means the more you breed that trait into a line, the more it will show. so if you breed a high percentage carrot tail(simply meaning one with alot of orange on the tail), to another high percentage carrot tail, you will get more carrot tail babies. if you breed a high percentage ct to a normal non carrot tail, just breed the babies that show more carrotting...but remember, the carrot tail takes a while to reach full potential, so a baby that may not show alot at hatching, may develop alot as it matures.
