Re: My Rack for Sarah to see
coool.. looks really good =]
Thanks for showing me your set up
and is the space okay for the leopard geckos? They don't mind being in containers?
I think one day I might have a set-up like this. Do you have any photos of inside the containers? the layout of stuff inside..?

Re: My Rack for Sarah to see
Thank you, That rack system wasn't cheap tho lol, i got it off ebay last year and it cost about £300(without heatmats & tubs) but it does have a handy storage cupboard at the bottom, then i have 4shelfs for my leo's and the top part has garys snakes and super giant leo in it.
I use 2different size containers for my leo's a 4litre or a 10litre and all the geckos seem happy in them and not bothered by being in them. As you can see in the top part we took a shelf out to fit in some larger tubs for Gary's snakes.
I'll get a pic of each of the size tubs i use tomorrow for you sarah when i clean everyone out

Thankyou
My brother is great with DIY stuff soo he could probably make me a rack.. and I've seen those tubs in ryman's stationary shop.. oh, and in stables.. but they are expensive in there.

Re: My Rack for Sarah to see
i got mine from staples but they weren't cheap in there either lol
here's 2different 10litre tubs, 1 has 1super giant leo in it and the other houses 3smaller leo's.
Next we have 2slightly different 4litre tubs, 1 has a plant pot cut in half for the house & damp kitchen roll for the moss box and the other has a exo-terra cave & a normal moss box, both of these house 1gecko in each but i do have 2female fat tails in one this size.

Re: My Rack for Sarah to see
hahaha i meant staples lol
They look really cool looks quite cheap to keep them like that.. it would be easier paying for a tub rather than a viv. And I like how you've used the plant pot as a hide. I have some polysterene that i'm eventually going to cover in tile groat (or whatever it's called) to make some homemade hides
The tubs look lovely very neat.

Re: My Rack for Sarah to see
I use tubs for some, mostly when I have someone in quaranteen. It i definately much cheaper and easier than vivs.
Re: My Rack for Sarah to see
I use plant pots cut in half as they are cheap and easy to clean, it is so much easier to keep these lot in tubs than viv's for me as it would cost to-much to buy all the viv's and kit them all out.
They not that neat and tidy now the leo's have had chance to make a mess for me, I took them pics when i cleaned everyone out this morning.

Re: My Rack for Sarah to see
Yes, I use whatever I have on hand to make hides and such. We also have dollar stores that I go to to get some stuff too.
Re: My Rack for Sarah to see
I've got 3 different sizes of plants pots i use depending on the size of the gecko, but for what you pay for one exo-terra cave you can get tons of plastic plant pots and they work just aswell, like my food and water bowls are the little dishes you stand plants in for a drink.

Re: My Rack for Sarah to see
I made my own rack and its not as good as Sams but its not bad considering i did it myself. lol. I will maybe get some pictures for this thread sometime soon.gothicgurrrl wrote:My brother is great with DIY stuff soo he could probably make me a rack.. a
I presume they a RUB's Sam? I used to use them, but since i cut down to only 15 leo's ish, i upgraded to exo terra faunariums, Jill has all my old RUBS for the snakes now. We have LOOOOAAADS lol. In all different shapes and sizes.
Re: My Rack for Sarah to see
yeah mine are all RUBS as the faunariums become brittle after sitting on heat mats for long periods of time and break and they become discoloured. i need to get some bigger RUBS but dont have the money to at the mo

Re: My Rack for Sarah to see
I'll let you know, because we have things living in a lot of them at the moment but all the corns are going. And its all the corns in the RUBS. And obviously i'll be wanting to keep some as spares.
SO i'll let you know what we've all got once some corns have gone.
