Hi Iam just wondering if it is okay to use the calcium sand for a littler box? a friend gave me a bag of sand and I thought maybe I could use it for the poop corner?

You should be fine with it. Just make sure the box has high enough sides to where the sand isn't spilling into the rest of the cage, and check daily, or multiple times a day, to clean up any sand that has spilled. Spillage will happen, and since all sand is bad for Leo's, it really doesn't matter the type of sand. So again, you should be fine if you clean up the mess when it is made Smile Post pics!

I would be careful. I know another member who used calcium sand in their litter box and their leo ate the sand, well, licked it for the calcium.

I wouldn't risk it, but that is my opinion.

If you do use it, make sure you have another source of pure calcium available in the tank.

Right now I have calcium in the tank. That is why I figured it might be okay.

Don't use calcium sand in a litterbox, your leo will lick it for the calcium. Use regular desert sand or play sands in the litterbox and only about 2 inches deep., your leo will kick it around and possible play in it so be sure to bait the litterbox with several of your leos poops so they associate that is what it is for. Some take to it, some don't.
