Egg question
So, I have seen on here a few times about non-bred females having eggs.
Are they like chickens where they always lay eggs whether or not they are fertile, or is producing non fertile eggs just something that happens occasionally?

Re: Egg question
i think they absorb them most of the time but can lay sterile eggs. not sure tho ^_^
Re: Egg question
Not like chicken at all, they would usually absorb the eggs if they are not fertilized, only lay them occasionally unfertilized. Also leopard gecko eggs are soft shelled, not hard shelled.
Re: Egg question
it is really dependant on the female, some will lay infertile eggs, others will reobsorb...others will lay sometimes, and reobsorb others...

Re: Egg question
I have had many times where a female would lay one fertile and the other infertile in just one clutch. If that does happen you can still reintroduce the male back with her, or just wait until she lays another clutch.
