First mating of the season
Just thought i'd let everyone no the i caught Stumpy in the act of mating with Rhubarb at 6am this morning
so hopefully soon i'll have my first lot of cresty eggs

no i had to get gary up for work at 5-45am and when i turned the bedroom light on i caught them in the act lol
im not sure how long it would be till she lays eggs as i haven't looked into it yet

Haha lol. don't know why they need to bite onto the neck like leos, have they forgotten they have sticky hands and feet?? lol.

They bite onto the females neck soo she can't run away and so that other males will have a hard time trying to push him off while they are mating and steal her for themselves.
It's so cool that you got a photo of that. everyone geckos on here seem not shy at all? Am i the only one with a shy gecko?

it was after dark when i caught these to at it, i dont normally see them maybe there feet cant grip the females skin and thats why they need to bite her neck i have quite a few shy geckos while there in there tubs/vivs so i just get them out for pics
