moist hide Size

hi all hope this isn't gonna be a silly question but should you increase the hide size as the gecko gets bigger ?

gordon my gecko is now about 6 inches in length but when he goes into the hide he seems to curl as if it's to small for him to stretch out

Yes, you should buy a bigger hide as they grow
but sometimes they prefer to curl up inside the hide.. even if my leo goes into her big hide she still curls into a little ball

i think up grading to a bigger hide is a good idea, i know that when i let charm try out her large warm hide that is in her "work in progress" tank she loved all the space she had, but like Sarah said some times they will always curl up, i think that is just a comfy way for them to sleep. they remind me of a dragon and a cat mixed into one little lizard lol they have such pride about them like i think a dragon or a cat would but act and move allot like a cat to me.

i use the sandwich sized sterelites for them thier whole lives...seem to do very well on them...it is really up to you though, i think as long as you have one, the size really does not matter. they do like tight hides, i think it makes them feel more secure. i have three to four paper towels folded up in mine, depending on the size of the animal, determines how i fold it, and how much room is offered.
