Shtct Question....

Do all shtct's have snake eyes? because my p aris had green snake eyes...just wondering

most of them dont, as far as i know....maybe yours in an eclipse? ....or just has cool eyes! i think alot of people dont pay enough attention to eye charicteristics in leopards...i have a couple with some craaaazy looking eyes! i am in the process of test breeding to see if it could be genetic....

it might be an eclipse lol his eyes are like a weird forest green and looks like snake eyes he wont stay still to let me take a pic tho

what do you mean by snake eyes? i put a picture up on here somewhere of Lipsy's eyes. She has gorgeous slivery grey eyes and they're really marbly

SHTCT's won't have snake eyes unless carrying the eclipse gene. Its the eclipse gene which causes it.

It would be impossible to say for sure without test breeding, but a picture might help us give a good answer

Those are normal eyes, not eclipse.

ok, by "snake eyes" you must have meant the eliptical pupil. snake eyes is an actual term in leopard geckos where certain animals that are homozygous(visible morph) eclipse, do not have solid black eyes, instead, they are only partially eclipsed...this term is called snake eyes also. i agree with mardy, that is not an eclipse...i think you may have meant that they look like an actual snakes eyes, correct?

I just posted a reply about snake eye trait as well but I think it went to a different post! I just don't know where. I hate using my phone for internet. Yesterday when I posted on the thread about the lizard hiding in the wall my first attempt went to feedback haha.
