Gentic help with RAPTORS
I understand genetics to a slight degree, and am always learning more. Anyway this time next year I hope to start a breeding program for my leos, which is a new adventure for me. I have breed many animals, but leos have always just been my pets Anyway, I have a male mack snow albino het RAPTOR, and a female RAPTOR that I'm excited about for possibilities. But honestly, I'm confused on how the whole RAPTOR thing works. I understand the basics, but not much else. If someone wants to explain this to me, it'd be very helpful. Thanks!

Re: Gentic help with RAPTORS
Red-eye
Albino
Patternless (Patternless-stripe)
Tremper
ORange
A RAPTOR is pretty much a tremper albino eclipse with patternless-stripe. The albino gene + eclipse gene is what gives them the red eyes.
Your male mack snow albino het RAPTOR is a mack snow tremper albino het eclipse. So if you were to mate him with a RAPTOR female, you'll get the following:
25% Mack Snow Eclipse Tremper Albino
25% Mack Snow Tremper Albino het Eclipse
25% Eclipse Tremper Albino
25% Tremper Albino het Eclipse
So you'll get a 1 in 4 chance of getting a RAPTOR, 1 in 4 chance of a mack snow RAPTOR, 1 in 4 a tremper albino het eclipse (het raptor), and 1 in 4 a mack snow tremper albino het eclipse.
Hope that helps

Re: Gentic help with RAPTORS
That does help, Thank you Mostly what was confusing me was what you explained, the whole difference, or lack there of, between RAPTOR and eclipse. What you explained I thought could be fact, but wasn't sure. Thank you again
