i finally reported the sod!

so as some of you are aware I bought my little stubbs and she is missing toes and very underweight/tiny for her ages (4 months)

After much deliberation about if anything would be done I called the RSPCA today and they are going to investigate the shop I got her from - I explained as many details as I could about how he was shaking them out of boxes how they were missing tails and how thin they were! I also called the local council to report animal wlfare! I feel so relieved, hopefully the horrible man will get whats coming to him!!

absolutely, maybe we all gang together and cut off his toes, see how he likes it... maybe enev starve him to the point of anorexia until he uses all his fat stores.

Makes me so angry. Just emptied my penny jar to gather the £30 i needed to buy her heat mat stat fingers crossed she may eat something tonight!!

It's people like that that have forced a lot of private reptile shops to close down. I don't have one near me, and you can bet it's because of irresponsible people like that.

I'm curious to hear what happened to the shop as well. How's the progress of the little one?

well she's settled in quite a bit, hasnt decided what she wants to eat so i give her a nice varied diet of crickets hoppers waxies mealies mini mealies ordered some roaches and come calci worms too they should be here tomorrow... she doesnt seem to have put on any weight but its weighing time tomorrow! another thing i have noticed is that she has done many poopies but they seem to be small and runny... any suggestions on this?

Shes a lot less skittish now with me, I can get her on my hand easier and she's in a 3 foot viv now so has a lot of hiding places/run around area which she seems to be enjoying!

and no news on the shop. however i may pop there on the weekend and see if they are still in business and check on some of the reptiles to check their helth - but obviously be very subtle about it will say im looking for a new one, if they're being treated the same I will chase up on the council and RSPCA as it isnt fair on the little ones

glad to hear she is doing ok and eating, poo wise might be a idea to get her poo checked for parasites as that would explain why she doesn't appear to have put on any weight.

Hopefully the shop will have got everything sorted or will have been shut down
