shed
i know theres a lot of threads on shedding, I know what to do when the bits get stuck on her toes etc, but she's a little reluctant to let me handle her and when I try to cotton swab her toes she walks off - i dint want to stress her out so any other bets? Like can I plonk her in her water bowl?
I live on the 3rd floor of my house dont fancy running down a flight of stairs with a leo who isnt used to being handled yet to put her in the sink!
** im only so paranoid about her toes, because she's already missing a few from previous shedding issues when she was with the breeder!!**

Yep, use a bowl of water.
Make sure she has her humid hide nice and moist to help her as well.
Good luck!

Re: shed
it works fine with my leo even when mine was really shy, put the bowl inside her viv so if she tries to jump out of your hands and escape whilst your trying to put her in there she cant get away then.

Re: shed
i managed to entice her onto my hand, got a deep tuppa ware tub and filled it just enough to cover her feet/ankles and she was ok with me holding her as long as i didnt try to wrap my hand around her so have soaked her and it looked to loosen the skin quite a bit, if she still cant shake it by tonight I'll give her another little soak. little concerned she hasnt eaten anything since tuesday to the best of knowledge but did fine 2 poo's this mornign so she must have eaten something!
I should have just stuck with my goldfish!

I think you are doing just fine with Stubby and am glad that you rescued her (sure she is too). I also keep fish and I think that leopard geckos are way easier to care for! I even have a chameleon which has proven to be less stressful than my fish!
