What morph is little Tripod please.
Hi just joined the forum and would like to say hello and please can someone tell me what morph little Tripod is. I've only had him/her for 3 weeks, s/he's shed again tonight and that is the third time since s/he came home. I don't know how old s/he is other then s/he's a baby, but s/he's doubled his/her weight from 6 grams to 12 as of last sunday. The first picture was a couple of days after s/he arrived and the second one is taken tonight.
Many thanks

Re: What morph is little Tripod please.
Welcome to the forum! I hope you enjoy your time here!
My name is Kathryn
Your little tripod is very cute! And I love his/her name, very cute!
When a leo is young (like yours) they will shed more often as they grow. Once she/he reaches full size, he/she will only shed every 4-6 weeks.
Your leo looks like a tangerine, but I'm not positive. :P
If your leo is on repticarpet or the like, I suggest switching to tiling or paper towel. Repticarpet is a breeding ground for bacteria, no matter how much you vacuum it. I think tiling looks great in a tank (my tank has tiling :P). Paper towels are also good, they are cheap and disposable.
Again, welcome to the forum! I look forward to chatting with you!

Re: What morph is little Tripod please.
Hi Kathryn and thank you, s/he is on carpet tiles as s/he has had his/her right hind foot and part of his/her leg removed just before s/he came to live with me due to an accident not with me I have to add so I wanted something soft in the viv so as not to rub on the site of the operation, I've got a spare set as well so each week the used ones are pressure washed and dried and the spare ones are used.

Aw, poor thing! Good for you for taking care of him/her! You are obviously doing a great job!
Sounds like you know what you're doing! How long have you had your leo?

Hi Kathstew, thank you, I picked Tripod up 3 weeks ago yesterday so we're both still getting used to each other but I make sure I handle him/her each night for just a few minutes and s/he's definitely relaxing more.

Aw thats great! The first weeks of owning a new leo is so exciting.
Getting to know their personality is alot of fun. I have three leos (all females), and they all have unique, entertaining personalitys.
What is your leo like? Laidback, hyper, a pyscho? :P

Re: What morph is little Tripod please.
I'm not really sure as I've never had one before, s/he squeaked at me on the first day but hasn't done it since and as long as I'm nice and gentle s/he will happily sit on my hand for a little while and s/he likes to have the top of his/her head stroked once s/he realises I'm not going to hurt him/her. I can't wait for the day s/he walkes onto my hand because s/he wants to.

Re: What morph is little Tripod please.
Aw, sounds like a little sweetie!
Miracle, my first one, is a sweetie. She was a rescue and was taken care of terribly, but she is still the nicest leo I've ever met. She will just sit where ever you put her (your hand, your lap, your head LOL). She is so gentle, and slow. Very friendly. :P
My other leo, a juvie, Nina is a bit skittish. She runs into hiding if someone comes into the room, and then if she recognizes them she'll come out. She likes to make a bolt for it all the time. She once jumped off my dresser, which is over 4ft high! O_O
My last leo, who doesn't have a name yet, I bought off a member here smararas2. She is INSANE and fiesty like crazy. She likes to bit my fingers if they have even the slightest smell of worm on them, or I wiggle them too much. She likes to run away off people she DOES know, but will sit nice for people she DOESN'T know.
As you get to know your leo more, you're gonna see the weirdest quirks. :P but you can't help but love them.
OH. BTW, this is a VERY addicting hobby. You will probably end up with a lot of leos soon. I got Miracle in June, and now have 3 already :P

Re: What morph is little Tripod please.
I think that's a very high possibility but I need to sort out the spare bedroom first to make more room as there's only so many 3 foot vivs you can squeeze in. Your 3 little girls sound amazing.
