Good news!
If you saw my other thread i was new to the leo world.
i have took out the sand and started using paper towels and today i bought my heat pad and ditched the lights! Also got some Sphagnum Moss for the humidity part.
As for the heating pad should i keep it plugged in 24/7

Yes keep it plugged in all the time. They use the belly heat to digest their food.

Yep, they really don't need a temp drop at night. And, your house will probably give one anyway, so yes just leave it on 24/7. You should, however, have something to control it like a light dimmer, rheostat or thermostat.
Light dimmers can be found for $10 USD at Lowe's and work great, I personally use them for both my leo enclosures.
