Hissing at food? Empty Hissing at food?

So I've noticed something Dean has been doing that I probably just didn't notice before when it comes to when I feed him a cricket.
I've been seeing him "hiss", breathe, "say" boo to a cricket when he thinks its there and he is trying to make it move. It's actually quite entertaining because I do envision him saying "Boo!" to scare the cricket to move. Anyone else notice this?

Also do they have relatively hard time seeing sometimes? I've noticed when the Cricket is white from the dusting and its on the white paper towel that he doesn't seem to notice it is unless it moves which is why I think he does what I explained above.

lol that is awesome, my little charm eats millies but she never hisses at them, but i have noticed that she doesnt seem to see them some times when they are on something that is around the same color as they are. and they definitely have to be moving for her to look at them at all. it drives me crazy some times. lol

I know! Sometimes I move him over near them, or poke the crickets with a stick so they move <.< and then he eats them. Just so they dont attack him first you know!?

HAHA, I have seen that and then my leo usually shakes his head and looks around like "What in the world was that?"
